DEANNE CARTER / MTS, 2012

Deanne’s path to Golden Gate was anything but typical.

Deanne plans to continue working in video production for ministries and non-profits after she graduates. Seminary may not seem like the obvious choice, but Golden Gate has given her both the theological foundation and the cultural training to thrive in almost any cultural context, in the U.S. or overseas.

The Jacksonville native left her career as an award-winning media producer with the Florida Baptist Convention in order to follow God's call to prepare for mission work.

“I can’t imagine learning from a faculty more invested in preparing us for real ministry in real settings.”

Deanne chose Golden Gate Seminary because of the Global Studies Partnership degree and the full-time, traditional classroom setting. “I'm earning a real-world, practical degree combined with a solid theological education."
