I wanted a seminary that was missional, that taught the realities of the changing culture.

"Even though there were waves here, I didn't let that influence my choice of seminary. After much research and prayer, I knew this is where God wanted me to go." He and his wife, Jennifer, drove across the country in 2008 to attend classes, without ever having visited the campus.

I learned so much in my church planting classes, and the heart of church planting became my focus.

Abel and Jennifer felt called to be on a mission through foster parenting. Having children in their home is the opportunity to start a family and a ministry. "Foster parenting is the connecting thread; we can make an impact in the lives of the kids, their families, social workers, and our church family--the entire community."
