Collections at the Northern California Campus

Media Collection

The Northern California Campus media collection is located on the main floor and can be searched through the Library Catalog. Media items may be viewed in the library or checked out. Headphones are available for checkout at circulation. Please see the library staff with any questions.

Newspapers

The library newspaper collection consists of state Baptist papers, local and national daily papers, Korean and Chinese language papers, and several other types. They may not be checked out but articles may be photocopied. Current papers are located at the back of the main floor near the windows.

Periodicals

The Northern California Campus Library currently houses 20,000 bound periodicals. Periodicals are available for use in the library building only. Current issues are kept in the periodical shelving by the north corner rear windows on the main floor. Back issues are stored in the movable shelving downstairs. Periodical articles may be photocopied. To locate a journal, use the A-Z Journal and Ebook list available on the library homepage. Reference help and passwords are available at circulation.

Print Music Collection

Instrumental scores, vocal scores, multiple copies of anthems and choral collections are shelved on the ground floor. All printed music is available for checkout.

Rare & Archival Materials

GGBTS institutional archives are housed within the library. The primary focus is on GGBTS history, which includes a small collection on Southern Baptists in the West. Also, the library has more than 500 rare books and about 800 archival books. Rare and archival books are kept in locked cases or special rooms. They may be requested at circulation. Photocopying of rare and archival materials is by permission only.

William O. Crews Leadership Collection

The William O. Crews Leadership Collection is located near the elevator. This collection honors William O. Crews, president of GGBTS for 20 years, and now President Emeritus. Currently, this collection houses 350 materials.
