Reggie Thomas pastored his first church while he was a college student at Union University in Tennessee. Prior to coming to Golden Gate, he served as a church planter, 15 years as a senior pastor, director of missions, and denominational employee. Reggie pastored two churches in California: First Baptist Church in Rancho Cordova, and First Baptist Church in Walnut. He has also led mission teams to Belize, Argentina, Brazil and Africa. He has a passion for developing ministry leaders.
Reggie Thomas grew up in Huntingdon, Tennessee. He is married to Jeannine, who currently teaches science in the Chino Valley Unified School District. They have two daughters: Amanda, a sophomore at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, and Emilee, a freshman at California Baptist University in Riverside.
Reggie enjoys family, home projects, sports and traveling, but his favorite hobby is running. He has run 18 marathons, including the New York City Marathon (2010) and the Boston Marathon (2011, 2012, 2013).
